Still not much rainfall happening here. Plenty on the exposed parts of the coast I see. Thought I'd try and post an image. Mount Sheridan and the trusty garden nylex. Not much of a mountain, I think it's about 300M shorter than Walshs Pyramid.

Had to laugh at that RF, was wondering what terrible word had been hidden. Hot and cold here. Windy and still. Overcast and sunny. Had all kinds of weather in one day - but no rain of course. Generally nothing to report. If you don't see me, I'm lurking, and will usually add a Thank to posts so you know I've read you. Edited by user Sunday, 16 July 2023 4:14:47 PM(UTC)

Well it's bloody wet down /up here lol 61mm this morning, all the creeks are up and the river has a good fresh run.
Recovery is going well and I am walking hundred meters a couple of times a day. Very worried about slipping over and just taking it slow down the drive and back. This weather is not helping my mood though, I had a few things setup to do with my time, but all I can do is read :(
Cheers

Good to hear you're recovering Bunyip.
Send your rain over here, lol. It tried really hard on Saturday, with a little bit of muzzle for 30 seconds.
I spend far too much time reading myself...

Good to see your on the mend, Bunyip. 26.5mm here in the last week, enough to make the Cairns Show a bit damp.
I understand Ron, this weather is [censored] when you have a boat.

Had two absolutely beautiful days here then it rained most of the night and half this morning. 15mm in the gauge. Sun has come out this arvo, and the strong breeze has returned.
Cheers

Been pretty nice down here too this week..sunny every day with just enough breeze to help dry the mud up.. Looks like being a cracking weekend for boating but next week looks pretty nasty.... and just for Ron...some very yummy oven baked smoked Spotty Mack and taro fish cakes...

No rain here in the last 6 days. It was some of the best weather I've seen for the Cairns Show in years. Only 3 days to getting radar back, hopefully.
Nice patties Scott. I remember my mother making fish mornay out of trevally when we were young. It was delicious too.

Rain arrived with the light this morning and has been consistent all morning.
Hoping they turn the radar on, but not holding my breath, lol , it is a GOV dept after all.
Good looking fish patties Scott.. Missing out this year..

Yeah it took a moment to register as I usually click on the 512km Townsville radar and its the first activity I have seen around Cairns for quite some time....about 9 weeks to be more precise.. 92mm in the gauge this morning and quite a deluge as I drove to Tully before lunch with drains full and quite a lot of water laying around....

25mm here so far. It was drizzly, cool and gloomy today. About 21C mid arvo. We nearly got the radar back, looked a bit like the old one I thought.
