Quite typical September day today with near average temperatures, near average dew point (moderately low in the afternoon) and near average relative humidity though was moderately low for some of the afternoon (a low of 26%). Wind have been mostly E to NE and the breeze was refreshingly cool for a change. We have N to NW winds in the last 2 hours. Edited by user Sunday, 15 September 2019 10:55:32 PM(UTC)

I am noticing from RWM temp' anomaly. We are still below the average for temp'.Although today closer to average.
Falling drop. You mention average dew point. I have never been able to find that on BOM climate data. What is our average dew point in your area? Are you Brisbane?

That is quite impressive... It basically falls inline with what Ken said a week ago. Date wise at least. Fingers crossed that is a sign of the end of the dry season and a start of a more humid months ahead.

Just ran across this, but I guess this comes as no surprise....
“Dr. Saji N Hameed, one of the scientists who discovered Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) said recently 2019 is shaping up to be one of the strongest IOD years ever recorded.
A strong IOD year indicates extreme rainfall in Eastern Africa from October to December, possibly leading to millions of displaced people, the emergence of Rift Valley fever and other flood-related issues. Dry spells over Indonesia, Australia and Singapore are strongly tied to the ongoing IOD.
2019 IOD is already similar to one of strongest IOD events in history - that of 2006 - when Eastern Africa experienced its worst floods in history, together with Central and West Africa.”

Yeah as far I know that not on the BoM site. But as I don't have a nearby comparable site and as my data isn't directly comparable with any BoM site, being a micro-climate, in a suburban backyard etc., I instead use my station generated average. For dew point I use an average of 2009 to 2015. I'm in Ferny Grove in NW Brisbane. Monthly mean dew points for Ferny Grove: Jan: 20.1 Feb: 20.0 Mar: 19.5 Apr: 16.2 May: 12.7 Jun: 11.0 Jul: 9.3 Aug: 9.2 Sep: 11.9 Oct: 14.4 Nov: 17.4 Dec: 18.8 Edited by user Wednesday, 18 September 2019 9:58:26 PM(UTC)
