You're about the first person to say that. At the time I don't think anyone on WZ noticed the two directly above in the northern hemisphere. No-one seemed interested. I thought it was amazing enough to spend a fortune recharging my mobile for data.

What a disaster of a wet season for February, currently dry old weipa is smoking the whole north tropical coast with 791mm for the month, maybe weipa will get the golden gumboot. What the heck is going on no decent rain in the foreseeable future im going to have to start watering my trees.

Yeah it's crazy, I planted a lot of cuttings thinking it's the wet season and I had 6 months to run pipes
ect , been carting a watering can all over the place.
Still got a lot of cuttings I want to get as well.

Wow at what is happening down south, with the Lockyer valley in trouble again and Gympie as well ..
But still even after 4 or 5 days of warnings people are driving around and doing stupid shit.

Cheers

And we had another 26mm late yesterday afternoon.

Getting just just enough to avoid watering, mostly. Everything is green but I'm not going broke paying for the yard to be mowed.

A Gecko shorted out our A/C a couple of weeks back, We decided the hot stuff was over and would
wait on getting a replacement, Never had it before moving into this place and only used it at night,
But with nothing in sight of a wet season I may just have to bite the bullet and head to kans to
buy a replacement.

It's cracked 40° on our verandah again today.

Cheers

mmmmm..aircon..

That would be very nice indeed..

This is just crazy heat..just looked at the forecast and its the same all week...Crying

Who would think we would have to be putting sprinklers out at the end of February just to keep new plantings alive ..?

Poor old SE QLD have their own worries right now...some crazy rain down there..

What a bizarre wet season.!

This seems appropriate

Geez Bunyip 40°. Didn't get that hot here. Haven't had rain for several days either.

Convertibles in the tropics, no thanks. That would be bizarre. Lol.

An amazing rainbow had appeared to the southeast, getting better as cloud comes closer, but the teensy multicoloured speck is moving south of us, as usual.

How bizzare indeed...!!

The long range charts show this nasty weather continuing for the next fortnight...at least you have some cloud cover 28...its pretty clear, hot, still and brutal down here..

I have the mini sprinklers on the roof as well so along with the heat we have a humid, greenhouse like efect...if I was a bamboo plant I'd be growing 5 metres a day...Crying

I guess if I had the choice It would be this over the rainfall down south right now...

Dunoon which is 20 minutes north of Lismore measured 775mm in the past 24 hrs and many other places 500mm plus around there..

No wonder the Richmond River is a full 2m higher then ever previously recorded.....Having lived there through a couple of floods, its just mind boggling to put 2 more metres on top of what people thought couldnt go any higher then in 54 and 74.....(the height of which is marked on many of the power poles as a reminder)...

Do you guys think out wet is done for...? or will we get a late run at it..?

Hard to tell. I'm desperately hoping for a few more falls before it stops.

3mm in the gauge from an early shower this morning. Thought the cloud would dissipate, but it didn't. Had another short shower about 11am-ish. I'll be happy with a bit more of that.

Things are getting desperate around here constant 33-37C days along the coast no rain ground is getting scorched. Im watering plants as if it was late september/october. No rain in sight bureau are absolute butchers they forecast a la nina wet last year with above average rain all along the north tropical coast once again wrong, i dont think they can forecast more than a few days out at best.

Could this year be as dry as 2002 which was one of the driest recorded along the north tropical coast ?? Too early to call ?

Teasing us again with rumbles and even a flash or 2 out the back but they are not getting to the coast here.
Can not believe I'm watering in February, and all our rain is in the south.

I've always noticed that we get less with the la nina but this is ridiculous..

So it's either going to be a drought or a long wet winter..

Cheers

:Update: It's trying to rain, but mostly breaking up and only getting a light shower.
BigGrin but it is cooling, and oh boy that's nice. Lump of pork in the BBQ and a few
xxxx very nice.

Cheers
