You can see a lot of its members are going for more than 100mm in areas like the western NT Top End and western TAS, some (but not all) are nudging 100mm in some sections of far north QLD/eastern NSW/eastern VIC, while the majority are currently going for lower amounts in areas like SE QLD.

I have been in two minds to start a thread or not for possible storms over the next couple of days, plus the weekend. Models are 50/50 and I don't want to jinx it by creating a new thread!

Sunday's currently looking good - showers and thunderstorms, some possibly severe due to the strong shear. But I won't be having a close look at it until later on Friday or Saturday.
Getting very hot with increased fire dangers as well.

GFS has had Sunday in its runs with varying degrees of rain since last weekend. The latest run is looking for around 9mm for SEQ (I have looked mainly north of Brisbane), which would be nice.

My concern is what comes after Sunday. Back to mid to high 30s, NW winds and Server fire danger for Monday and probably higher later in the week.

Decided to have a break from the heat and have spent the last five days in Hobart. Temperature on Mt Wellington this morning when I was up there 4.3 with an Apparent temperature of -4.4. Two jumpers and a gortex jacket on and still felt the cold. Lying in bed at the moment and listening to the rain on the roof. Not looking forward one bit to returning to mid 30 temps next week.
