So finally the bureau have uploaded Cape tribulations data for last year it only took them 3 months......

and it looks like Tully sugar mill still comes out on top and from what i can gather it looks like this

2021 totals

Tully Sugar mill 5081mm
russel river 4997mm
Babinda 4852mm
Cape tribulation 4769mm
japoonvale 4656mm
Bunyip (daintree) 4425mm

Pretty crapp out here. Two nights I was away in Cairns Chillagoe got 5mm & 10mm even though radar showed dumping rain.

Early Warning Network SMS warning last 2 nights for bad storms. Nothing but a light show way in the distance.

And hot too. Hot days, hot nights. Should even be cooling slightly this time of year.

It’s been a weird wet season though, unless my memory is failing again, most of our rain has come from SE streams rather than the monsoon.

Yeah I recon your on the money, very little Monsoon weather, just that bit early that slipped off out into the CS.

Been out weeding and cleaning drains :)
120mm since around 06:30 Radar still looks good might even be a bit of rotation out there :)
Be nice to get rain again all night, last nights sleep was the best in 6 weeks since the A/C shat it self
Nice clean sheets out of the drier tonight :)

Pea and ham soup on and fresh bread rising yummo ..

Just tipped 150mm out of the gauge. Forgot to empty it yesterday so that’s 2 days worth.

Pea and ham soup, YUM. I think I have some in the freezer, must investigate.

Bout time something had to give with all that heat. 49mm for me overnight, I havent been home to check since this morning but looks like 100mm+ since this morning from what i can gather from a station up the road a bit.

Still a long way off the march average of around 600mm not sure if we will get there by the end of the month yet.

Thats some big rain Bunyip, looks like Diwan topped the charts with 205mm, I ended up with 115mm.

Holy [censored]you guys finally got some proper rain...

A good bit on convergence looks to have set up down this way and we have had some pretty heavy rain the past couple of hours with plenty more to come by the looks of the radar..

The creeks are already right up and we are well and truly flooded in..

I think our forecast 20-40mm today has been well exceeded...

Nice wet night and looks to be set in for the morning at least.
50mm here just now , slowly climbing back towards where we should be.

Just loving the cooler nights with the rain falling, no blanket here just yet
but the Mrs is getting a bit closer ;)

Looks like cairns and especially the racecourse is throwing itself in the ring with the big heavy weights at the moment, the month total for cairns is up around tully sugar mill !!!!! Can they hold on for the rest of the month and beat tully??

Me only 36mm here we have been missing most of it except for that one day last week.
