Not much to comment on, especially here. It's a major event to get 10 drops of rain, like yesterday afternoon.

I've given up hope & started back watering the plants again. Had the yard mowed last week, likely won't need to be done again til January.

Speaking of that black mould..I thought I heard a distressed chicken coming from the creek area of our property so went to investigate thinking our new pup may have done a number on one...turns out the missus slipped are up on one of my concrete paths in the nursery area and was laying there with the back of her head split open and quite out of sorts...

She had concussion and I took her into the hospital and up for scans later that week but she ended up being dizzy and a bit crook for a month or so..

I should have known better as I slipped in the same spot some weeks earlier but didnt land as heavily as her..area has now had some bleach scrubbed into it but that mould does need to be scrubbed off or pressure cleaned...thats a good idea just to flip the pavers though ..

and yup you know its a crappy fishing season when Tarpon tastes good...

These forecasts are just stupid though...supposed to be raining all week here but yesterday was so nice we spent the whole day on the river and got sunburnt as hell..no rain or cloud at all..the ocean was pretty nasty looking ...the wind is certainly not nice..

Now the forecasts are saying monsoon trough like rain for next week...is that just another guess..?...seabreeze has Tuesday at 35 knots and 6 metre swell...

Jeezz Scott thaqt doesn't sound good, I'm glad not any worse. Hope she is feeling better now.

Caught a few tarpon but never eaten one Dormant, more patients than me, I don't like picking bones out.

Don't know about these forecasts.. Will be interesting if some of them come off.

Had to be quick to see it 28. They had good rain overnight up that way from the east.
Caught a lot out, plenty of Weipa folks thought they would have easter out and the rain was over.

Yeah Scott, I help the neighbor and we ended up killing 2 steers, both young but not going to do anything better so now they hang to age for 10 days.
Hard to eat supermarket beef after eating home killed. Don't think we would eat much beef if had to buy it.

Forecast is a bit erratic with big falls all week then it slowly changes to less but still big falls out at the end.

Funny how the rivers all came down on the PDR and trapped quite a few easter trippers thinking they could go anywhere.



I think I read somewhere it's only 3 months without a recorded cyclone But I could well be wrong.

Looks like the entire coast is getting good rain, I’ve had 52mm since this morning and looks like more headed this way. Think we could see some massive numbers on the cassowary coast tommorow

Scott I started my working life as a Jackaroo in outback SA, we used to butcher 6 sheep a month.
Only been helping with cattle the last 15 years or so and not very good at it , lol
I would love to find a place to shoot a few deer a couple of times a year, have also thought
of heading out to sheep country and buying a few live to kill and bring home. Really need to pack
up the camping gear and head out and ask ..
