Some areas of the country are begging for rain and I am sick of it. Can't complain I guess. A few showers ahead.

BOM are going for afternoon showers in most districts east of the divide on Monday & Tuesday, one would think arvo storms are possible. GFS showing some weak instability about, I wouldn't be surprised to see a storm about, probably more likely about the ranges, shear is not bad too!!

BOM have some quite widespread chances of rain or showers on Tuesday . Even a few mm inland is going to help fire fighters, dams , plants. Here is hoping for a good one.
Mid coast and ranges looks the best here on the day.

Gee, let's hope so Snowbunny. I had to drive out to Wagga Wagga on Friday and it is pretty dry out there. Sadly you still see [censored] idiots throwing cigarette butts out of their car windows.

Hi Thought l would put in for Forster .I enjoy the weather forums . Often educational and entertaining The forecast for tuesday is for up to 60mm for Forster. WOW . After reading the depressing news of water shortage, seeing this gives me hope and they must be expecting an ECL because there is a powerful surf warning We may even get a storm. Tuesday 17 September Summary Min 13 Max 18 Rain. Possible rainfall: 30 to 60 mmChance of any rain: 95% Mid North Coast area Cloudy. Areas of smoke haze in the north. Very high (90%) chance of showers, tending to rain in the morning. The chance of a thunderstorm from the late morning. Winds northwest to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h tending south to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h before dawn. Overnight temperatures falling to between 8 and 12 with daytime temperatures reaching between 15 and 23. Large and powerful surf conditions in the evening are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, swimming and surfing. Synoptic from the BOM shows that low on tuesday and wednesday morning http://www.bom.gov.au/fwo/IDG00074.gifEdited by user Sunday, 15 September 2019 7:56:51 PM(UTC)

ACC r showing the mid coast of NSW get the brunt of the southern flank of this embedded low tomorrow (tuesday),and also west of the ranges .
Watch for warnings from the BOM. SEVERE WEATHER ALERT
The event for STH NSW and south coast, starts tonight.
The southern flqnk of this embedded low reaches Sydney and surrounds in the early hours of this morning and appears to stall and
hang around for all of Tuesday.
The possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorms and even strong winds .
Certainly a good day for weather watching in NSW tomorrow. I will be watching for sure.

I had a couple of spots of rain today as I was driving west. It was enough to clean the windscreen, but that was about it.
It keeps trying to rain.

Yes .,I can see the lighter virga drips over Sydney, mid coast and nth of Sydney currently,,tea time.
This snap of the radar below, shows an intense rain band over southern coast currently. Moruya has had 10mm
I believe that intense band will track north toward Sydney overnight.
Thanks for the obs'

Now that is an impressive radar image!. Thanks for posting nodrops. Must be reverse psychology because there are lots of drops This will be good for a free car wash in the metro. Roads cleaned and dust washed off the vegetation. I heard on the news there was snow in Canberra and s blue mountains over night. How wonderful. The kids will be excited. I might look for a photo to contribute. Some bad news. The lightning tracker is showing a few strikes between Bourke and Gunnedah currently/lunchtime. Chances of fires starting out there is high.
