Good luck with that little guage 28

Looks like cairns has cleared for now but everything is still heading south to the Rollingstone convergence zone...

I'm blown away that this event can just sit stationary down there for this long....its getting quite Jasper-like now...!!

Paluma over 500mm 2 days in a row..and Rollingstone up around the 400mm mark....and yet we went up for a nice swim in the creek this arvo...water was so beautiful...it was quite loud coming down the rapids but clear, strong and so nice..i put the snorkel on and saw that some larger rocks in there were now uncovered so that will give me a bit of exercise once the flow settles down..every time it does this I move the newly exposed rocks out and it deepens and widens the swimming hole...the JP's were out and about seeing if any bugs or food has been stirred up...

The convergent zone does seem to be extending north but we havent seen much here yet..see what tomorrow brings..

We only ended up with 90mm to 6:30 this morning, most of it from the dump last night.
Radar looks like we might just catch some more in the next hour or so.

Dumping down now at 07:55.

My phone's weather app tells me at 08:00 we'll be having cyclonic winds, if I'm reading the icons right... 😁
