168mm up here this morning.
Most of that fell before dark last night, I'd had 85mm by 15:00 then it really came down after 16:00..

Had a bit of sun this morning but it is getting overcast now.
Forecast still has a week or more of rain.

Cheers

50mm in the gauge this morning. The WZ forecast of four 40-80mm days in a row came good with 76,75,63.5 and 50.

Townsville ended up with 301mm so another big fall there.

Cairns forecast: Thunderstorm with possible heavy falls.

12mm here since 9 Ron. The showers seemed to form over us and move your way today. Radar looking good to the north again tonight so more could be on the way, Hopefully.

Looks to be about 200mm of rain and rotting fruit and veges scraps in the compost bucket our wwoofer placed on top of the rain guage yesterday evening..

Anyway the rain seemmed to be very patchy with up to 453mm in the range to the south of Cardwell but 15-25mm north of town..

Highway closed again obviously..

Edit..19th anninverary of Cyclone Larry....was my first "Real" cyclone" experience...I underestimated it badly in the days before it hit us..

42mm here this morning. This rain event seems to have been a light to steady one with not to much of the heavy stuff in White Rock. 451mm in 7 days isn't bad though.

19 years since Cyclone Larry Scott, how time flies. It gave us some good strong westerlies here.

Missed the heavy stuff from that storm last night by a few km, bit of thunder as it went along the Eastern ranges.

I was working in Cardwell for Larry, I think we had a bit of warning so we prepped the jobsite at Norship before we went home for the weekend and I think it came through on the Monday. We went back down the following Monday and things were a little different...

My daughter drove down to Rocky and back over the weekend to pick up some construction materials. She says the Highway is basically a series of connected potholes. Luckily she was driving a hire Ute 😁

We have been getting around a half inch to an inch and a half each day for the past week or so...

Once again missing out on the big daily totals north and south of us..

As mentioned by SM this week where the previous forecasts had 40-80 and 80+ has dropped right back to 5-10 going forward..its just annoying rain now..

The cardwell gap alert in the range near the southern end of Hinchi has received around a metre and a half in the past couple of weeks on top of those huge totals a couple of weeks earlier...

Doesnt anyone know how to get the daily rain totals from the stations listed under the "Rain and River data" on the BOM site..?..the page i watch only goes daily for the past week..I cant get the daily totals for the entire past year..

http://www.bom.gov.au/cg...rap_fwo.pl?IDQ60365.html

Also has anyone ever seen Townsville get such a consitentantly wet, wet season....sure I can remember a couple of big short term high rainfall 'events" but nothing where they are just getting regular large totals like this for the duration of the wet season...

and damn the mossies just about carry me away down here right now...its insane..!

37mm in the gauge this morning. Drizzly day so far.

This could be what your looking for Scott. Cardwell Range daily rainfall readings from BOM climate data online for Ingham. I don't know whether that's the same as Cardwell Gap. Quite impressive numbers there.

15.5mm here this morning. That's 136.5mm in the last 5 days. Just enough to keep the yard swampy.

There's talk on WZ at the moment of another monsoon burst in early April.

Edit 1800hrs: 27mm here from a good heavy shower this arvo.

Ended up with 648.5mm for March which is good given the start we had. It's the third year since 2011 that we had over 2000mm to Mar31 after 2018(2318.5mm) and 2011(2089mm).

It must be almost time for the south-easterlies and stream showers to begin.
