Just 4mm in the gauge this morning :(
Yeah Ron, I've been getting the same, look at the radar and it looks good, half hour later and it's all dissipated.

Cheers

Yesterday an arvo storm looked and sounded promising but like you guys it dissapated before arrival and we got a few spits only..

How nice have the last 10 days or so been..Hot but perfect really...Managed to get out on the water a few times ..

There is still quite a bit of partly submerged timber floating around so its just been morning island fishing and snorkelling trips in the smaller boat...then home by lunchtime before it heats up or gets blowy

I usually dont fish around the islands so have been surprised by the quality trout we have been getting..

Also got this fella yesterday on the handline...check out the water conditions though...how good is that..BigGrin

Nice going Scott.
Yeah I've been looking at the waters as I go over the range to Cape Trib each day for work.
Makes going to work bloody hard when it's like that. :)

Only 4 days work left for me, so hoping we get a bit more good weather soon.

Cheers

I see Brisbane had 275mm, a nice drop there.

That's a good fish Scott. I bet it put up a good fight.

Edit 1850: We had a nice shower earlier, doubled our March total so far to 5.5mm.BigGrin

40 mm here...

Forecasts starting to ramp up for a wet end to march...not that its unexpected...

Hopefully just a good old fashioned monsoonal soaking without the need for any spinners to mess things up...

and just to keep bunyip off the water for a while longer, some ridging from the highs to end the lovely boating weather and bring on those "juicy" showers and 15 knot Sou'easters...BigGrin

13.5mm here overnight, that's 23.5 so far for the month. The forecast is looking a lot better but we're still a long way behind last years March total.

Mar25: 23.5mm
Mar24: 913mm
YTD: 1439.5mm

156mm in the past 3 days with about 100 of that overnight...

The latest gfs model showing Cairns to Mackay getting the wettest over the next week or so with Brownsville right in the thick of the action again...

You might not get to last years march totals SM but hopefully a good drop..

Geez Bunyip dont say that...constant Sou-easters till show weekend are the bane of my existance...the stuff of nightmares..!

We were out when that downpour happened, water everywhere when we got home. Looks like about 60-70mm in the gauge so far, all my markings have faded. It's still looking very dark to the SE.

LOL Yeah I hope not Scott, I'd really like one of them post card years.

Well that's more like it, starting to get good heavy showers and a real dark SE sky
Looks to be around 40mm in the gauge, (my marks have faded toGlare )

I've made a bit of a mess of my driveway, got a couple of loads of red dirt, a couple of loads of sand
and 3 loads of gravel. Spread the red and gravel out where I wanted it roughly with a loader, but need
a small machine here to tidy it up. Oh well at least the stuff is here, I can sort it out when it drys
out. Don't need to drive where I put the red, but do walk there, need to sort some path, hate exposed
red dirt..

Forecast looks good. Have got some shed work lined up for next week.

Cheers
