Some lovely light and persistent rain here for the last few hours, which is a great improvement from the previous fire hose blasting us for 20 minutes and then stopping. Wonderful if you are stuck under this band of rain!

After being away for a few months and then coming back to waist high grass, I spent three bl**dy hours cutting the stuff yesterday. It looks great though although this rain (10mm so far today) is going to make it grown again. Great to have a day of no heat and yuckie humidity.

Just passed the 50mm mark for so far today, which is wonderful considering I have missed out on the big totals over the last few months. Not great for people camping though!
